Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
  • 4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves minced garlic optional
  • 2 tablespoons honey can substitute with agave for a vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together the grated ginger, lime juice, minced garlic, honey, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well-coated and marinate for at least 15 minutes in the fridge.
  • Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

Marinate for at least 15 minutes for the best flavor. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Grilling enhances the smoky flavor. Don’t skip the resting time to keep the chicken juicy.
